March Break Camps for Grade 7 and Grade 8 Students

Dear Parents, Guardians and Caregivers: 

Durham Catholic District School Board (DCDSB) is offering two exciting March Break camps for Grade 7 and Grade 8 students: Numeracy Cooking Camp and CABS March Break Sports Camp. 

The Numeracy Cooking Camp is available at each DCDSB secondary school through Archbishop Anthony Meagher Catholic Continuing Education Centre. During this week-long camp (note: the camp runs Tuesday – Friday at the St. Mary Catholic Secondary School location), students will learn the basics of cooking and baking in a safe kitchen environment while utilizing numeracy skills in fractions, measurement and conversions. Families that are interested in this camp are invited to register by filling out the online registration form. Please Note: As of January 31, 2025, the CABS March Break Sports Camp is FULL. The DCDSB Coach/Advocate for Black Students (CABS) will be facilitating a March Break Sports Camp. This half-day camp will be offered at Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School (1375 Harwood Ave N, Ajax) during the week of March 10-14, 2025. Students will participate in a variety of recreational activities aimed at enhancing leadership skills, fitness skills, peer relationship skills and community building. Programming will involve a variety of sports and physical activity. Please read the attached poster for more details.  

Please note that camp enrolment will be determined on a first-come, first-served basis as space is limited.
